may is the show me month (lol) and i’m happy to report that i’ll be part of two exhibits that will feature some of my work.  here are the deets:

From the press release:  “The Association of Minority Professional Photographers (AMPP) will host “Women of the Lens” – A Reception and Photo Exhibit recognizing the work of Bay Area women photographers. This FREE event features artistry ranging from commercial to environmental by Nicka Smith, Cordetta Spells, Teri Williams, Emiola Omotayo, Jessica Quintal, Sheila Morgan, Traci Bartlow, Ajira Darch, Ashleigh Reddy and Patricia Patterson. This is a rare and not-to-be-missed opportunity to have engagement and dialogue with women photographers who will walk you through the inspiration behind their visual photograph displays.”

thriving through art: second kaiser permanente employee art showcase monday, may 14 – friday, may 18, 2012, daily, 9am-5pm 1800 harrison street, oakland, ca 94612

this is the second year that i’m participating in this event through my day job.  tThe art featured will range from quilts to watercolors, poetry to photography, and more.  i’ll be on hand to discuss my pieces at this event as well.
