We discussed the recently released Red Cross photo album with pictures from the Tulsa Race Massacre, we discussed the recent state legislation changes around “critical race theory,” what Family Tree looks like on 23andMe, 23andMe+ features, and more.
Next, we talked about our the assignment from last session: Share your findings from the study you conduct on your family DNA project based on the webinar, The Family DNA Project: Reloaded.
Our next small group will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2021 at 8am Pacific/10am Central/11am Eastern.
Next assignment: Begin reading The Ledger and The Chain by Joshua D. Rothman and complete it by June 19 (if possible). We’ll begin to have discussions around initial thoughts, especially how we can unearth research strategies based on what the author used for resources in the book.
