Thanks to those of you who were able to join today’s small group session. We discussed the recent passage of Juneteenth as a federal holiday along with ideas of how to teach around Critical Race Theory, and more.
Next, we talked about our the assignment from last session: Begin reading The Ledger and The Chain by Joshua D. Rothman. We had a discussion around initial thoughts on the book, records used, research strategies employed and things that stood out to us. We covered chapters 1 and 2.
Our next small group will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 8am Pacific/10am Central/11am Eastern.
