as promised, i have LOTS more to share from my recent collabo shoot with sistog Arekah the Goddess in memphis, tn. our shoot also included the amazing work of makeup artist Britaine’ Bell, stylist Kia Emily, and model Emily Dison. this was the first time I’ve ever done beauty shots. my first instinct? do what Matthew Jordan Smith says. i was able to watch him do a live shoot at WPPI 2012 for Sony and i took copius mental and written notes.
his words? “shoot with the strobe or light right behind your head. go for natural. look for the timeless image. you’ll know what it is.” my thoughts following? yes, you’re right!!!!
